Alina, is that the before pix?? I don't like it, it does not look neat or very bridal, it looks plain?? Who did it? Maybe in color it would look different

I think because it is very dark we are only really seeing the rough edges. The curls look really pretty.

Shamma, its the after picture, taken about 2hrs after the trial. I don't look good with my hair all neat (my nose it too big and it just sticks out too much). That's why its half up/half down.
The photo is in color, by my work scanner automatically converts it to a black/white. I can bring the actual picture to the gtg if you're interested.

Do you have a color picture so we can see it better? I have to agree with the other girls, I am no crazy about how it came out. The style looks nice on you, but the curls look a litlle messy, but maybe its the picture.

I definitely think it's the black and white that's throwing it off. I have to agree with Shamma, that in this picture, it doesn't look neat.....I think it shows the frizzies too much, but this could be because of the black and white photos. But, this worries me because are you having black and white pics at the wedding?

alina you had your hair in a ponytail at the GTG and it looked fine up and off your face....this is not the most flattering look for you, IMO...maybe it's just the B&W versus color, but it doesn't seem very bridal...

I guess I'll ask hairdresser to put more hairspray/products to eliminate frizzies more...
This is not a professional picture and I have no make up on, so perhaps that's throwing you guys off. And the smirk in my left eye.
I liked myself more on the day the hair was done than I like the picture too.
The problem with an updo style is that I don't look good when the hair is pulled tight around my face. So I need it for framing...

If you and everyone else was happy, that's all that matters. We are going off a picture that isn't flattering to the style at all. We can't see the curls and the black and white makes it look frizzy...I am sure it's beautiful when you can see the detail, right now all it looks like is a fuzzy pic. Don't listen to us!

If you are confident in the lady's work then don't sweat it, did you show her a pix of what you wanted?? is it exactly what you wanted?? Did you try on your headpiece with the style how was it??

I like it!! I think the b/w isn’t helping though. From what I remember at the gtg you had straight hair no? Or am I thinking of someone else??? I like how your hair in the pics, sits on your shoulders. If you are comfortable with it go for it.
Alina did some of the pic get chopped off? I don't see the bottom anymore.
Shamma, I showed a few pix, but said that i was open to suggestions. She started making an updo, picking up more and more pieces in top/down order. And then at some point it looked really good. and as she went further, I didn't like where it was going. So I asked her to stop, release some of the hair out and work the style from there.
So I never tried a real updo with her b/c halfway through the half up looked great... She did mention that she didn't use the same hair spray as she would on the day of, which would hold a bit more...
