I did NOT tip

I dont feel it's necessary ...ESPECIALLY since you are traveling to THEM, and they are working out of home - they are getting the full $100 (or whatever the amount charged to you)

In theory, I agree with you but I'm having the same dilemma, I want to do the right thing, but feel it's in their home, I'm driving 40 minutes to them. Still undecided as you can see.

I agree with this. I didn't tip only because it starts to add up after visiting a few hair/make-up stylists. I started to feel the pinch in my pocket, and NC82 is right..u're going to them and they're working from home. They're making more than enough money on the day of your wedding. IMO =)

Yeah, I mean...I know 'in theory' you SHOULD tip...but it makes no sense to....they are making 100% profit and NOT traveling - For instance, I traveled like 45 minutes to both my makeup and hair trials - I feel that's more than enough....JMO

well remember that not everybodies trial is done in a home, some are done at a salon. And the whole traveling to the place thing i just see as, dont we always travel to the place where we get our hair done...the service is still provided and they still are working when you do a trial.

Mine was at the persons home but again my trial was free, i tried tipping her but she wouldn't even take it even when i said no please take it but she insisted.

hmm ok .. I can defiantly relate to both sides of the issue ..
maybe I will just wing it! see how the trial goes .. I'm hoping I will only need one!
