Re: Hair Trial Question
i think if you know exactly what kind of veil you want then you can schedule some trials like 4 months before the wedding

Re: Hair Trial Question
i didnt use my veil at my last trial. i am more concerned with my hair, than with my veil. i would say start doing a few trials around 3mos before.. you might love the first one, and not need to do another. but if you are not happy with it, you will at least have time do more.

Re: Hair Trial Question
I didnt have my veil before my trial because I just didnt know what I wanted in my veil. I knew that the girl who I booked to do my hair booked quickly so I ended up booking her about 10 months in advance. If you are set on using a certain person I would get in contact with them and see how far in advance they are booking. If you know that you are going to end up using them - no harm in booking them early then.. KWIM?

Re: Hair Trial Question
i didnt have my veil for my hair trial. Infact i didnt get my veil until right before the wedding, i ordered 2 weeks before and i picked up my veil the day before my wedding.
The hair stylist had a headpiece and veil that she used on brides to give them the full effect. So for my hair trial i have pics of me with my hair and no veil and then pics of a headpiece and veil on that she gave me to use. It worked out just fine. Plus i was going to do my hair the same way no matter what. SO i wasnt going to change my hair for a veil, the veil had to work with the hair i was getting lol. So i said, this is how i am doing it no questions about it, so whatever i get it has to work with this. AND i have to say i was happy i waited, it was bc of the trial that i realized i didnt want a headband type headpiece, before the trial i was planning on getting this. Once i tried it on with my hairstyle i didnt like it, so i did one that went back and not straight across my head. I would've wasted money.
PLUS many vendors book up VERY quickly and if i would've waited then the person i really wanted would've been booked up. I waited until my dress came in to get a veil and get a sample from my dress to match the veil.
If you have a veil before the trial by chance then thats fine too. It will be fine regardless but dont feel you have to rush and get a veil if you dont want to. Do whatever you like best

Re: Hair Trial Question
I booked my hair stylist without a trial because I had used her many times in the past and knew I wanted to use her on my wedding day.
I didn't go for my trial until I had my veil and headpiece -- my trial was more to figure out how I wanted to wear my hair and how much longer I needed to grow it out than who I would be using. However, you dont need YOUR veil/headpiece and I'm sure many stylists will play around with something they already have, especially if they usually do weddings.
