Hi Girls! Did you tip for your hair trial? If the person doing your hair is the owner of the business...do you tip the same amount? I'm paying $150 for a trial and just wondering if you still give the standard 20%

Re: Hair Trial Tip
I gave her a 20% tip, but I wasn't really sure I had to.

Re: Hair Trial Tip
Tipping the owner is optional because they make most of the money from the salon. It is up to you whether you want to tip or not. Also, tip according to what you think they deserve. If they did not do a great job, then I would not give them 20%. $150 for a trial is a bit much so I am not sure I would be tipping the owner if I were you but that's just me. Remember that the people who work for the owner make less...those are the ones that I would be tipping.
