Talk to me about Hair Trials.
What do you need to bring?
Do you need to blow out your hair before you go?
Do you tip?
Did you bring someone with you?

I'm trying to schedule some and I'm just so clueless!

I brought my veil, head band, clip in extensions, and day of jewelery (to ge an idea of a complete look).

I tipped too. I didnt bring anyone because the scheduling just did not work out.

II did 2 over the summer and the last one I did was early this November. I ended up choosing the last stylist - liked her the best. So about 3 months before. But I also am not getting married in wedding season so I have had it easy with vendor availability.

I just had my trial at the end of October... so almost 6 months before the wedding.
I had my hair back in a (freshly washed) ponytail because I had just come from my make-up trial and that wasn't a problem with styling my hair.
I brought my veil, hair fascinator & extensions. I also brought enough cash with me to put down the deposit (as I knew I would be booking her that day)
I didn't bring anyone with me and I did tip, yup!

About how much did you all tip, if you don't mind me asking? I booked one trial and am about to call another place to book another one. This is my last step!

I brought my tiara and extensions and definitely tipped. Especially the second trial as she spent so long with me. I would say at least 20% is standard. My hair was clean and dry, but not blown out.

Fire Monkey is amazing! Dusti does such beautiful work and knows how to work with hair. She blew me away - and she was so easy to chat with the whole time. I have pics in my album if you want to see the trial. She also was the most reasonable out of everyone I tried.

Thanks Lauren!!! I had Beth from Beauty by Beth do my makeup... she was amazing. So easy going and really knew her stuff.

I had a trial with Beth, 2 weeks ago and LOVED her work. I have an appt with 1 other person and if I don't like how it goes- I'll definitely be booking with Beth.

I just blew my hair out the morning of the trial. I actually went yesterday and I wanted to see how well the hair stylist worked with my ideas. I didn't bring anything with me, she actually had extensions there for me to try on to get a full picture of how my hair will look like. I want the full loose curls. The extensions she took off after taking pictures for me. She even had a veil there for me to try on to get a better picture. The trial was $40 and I tipped $20 so I can always do another trial when i have all my pieces.
