I saw this pic and love how they all have low chignons and their bangs are swept to the side. Is is too cookie cutter? I think I want them all to go for low chignons with bangs to the side. What do you think?

I love when everyone has the same or very similiar hair. In my BP too many different hair lengths to do that but I think it looks great

Honestly I don't think I would notice something like this right away. Since you pointed it out, it looks okay..kinda boring to me though. if anything the bride should have been different!

All great opinions. Love to hear what everyone thinks. I only have three - my best friend, sister and Brian's sister so they actually told me whatever I wanted. I am lucky in the BM department. They are all so easy going, unlike me

I'd tell them to get whatever style they want. . . there's always a chance they'll get similar styles anyway, especially if they go to the same salon.
I've never been asked to have a particular style as a bridesmaid (been a BM 4 times so far, I think).
Regarding the photo: Are those dresses by Aria? If so, that's the EXACT dress I'm wearing for samnjenna's wedding -we're all in different styles, but I'm in the strapless dress - in that color!

It's so funny...I only have a MOH and a BM. They're asking me all the time...how do you want our hair..our nails...... I tell them do what's comfortable for you... I've never been in a wedding party where I was told how to do my hair. If they're up to doing whatever you want...and you want it uniform..I say...'Go for it!'

I couldn't get my girls to do anything I really wanted, so if you can get your girls to do it and you like it, GO FOR IT!

This is my own personal opinion, but I would never tell my bridesmaids how to wear their hair. Its a personal thing. I hate updos's on my own hair b/c I hate my ears so I always think of things like that...for example, my little sister as well hates her ears and wants to wear it down...I would never ask for her to do it up even though I may like it better.
Its nice to see different hairstyles anyway! Like someone else says, it brings forth everyones own personality. I would however draw the line at a mohawk, lol..

I would run the style by them and see what they say. If they show some interest, ask if they would all be willing to do it. I can tell you that the style would not be flattering on me, but as a BM, I would probably suck it up and do it. Brides day, her way.

i really don't care either way...so long as they are happy with the look. i cannot control everything about my wedding day and if i tried to have all my bm's wear their hair the same way, they would ignore me and do what they wanted

Unless you're planning on paying for their hair, I wouldn't even consider telling them how they 'have' to get it done---these are your closest friends/family, not your barbie dolls. JMO.

I like it. I told the girls wear it however you want and they all want to wear it up in a bun LOL So I got what I wanted anyway. I love those dresses too!
