Hair-Updos

I was explaining to my hairdresser what I wanted this weekend and she told me it will probably take 2 - 2 1/2 hours to do! Wow! She said this is standard for most updo's...can anyone confirm or dispel this?

I agree! I would like the barrel curls where the hair is kind of twisted into different sections and pinned - I am very much NOT describing it well - but she said any kind of updo will take that long...so of course I will explore other options (call different hairdressers). I have to be ready by 9:30am and Im sure I also wont have the patience to sit for that long on any day let alone the morning of my wedding! Were you happy with your trial run?
I believe you are using Susan Marlan for your officiant. With only 3 weeks away, have you spoken to her? What is the follow-up process? We haven't heard from her in months, not that we were worried, but I am just unsure as to when we should speak with her again. Thanks.
