Ok so tonight im going out and since i never really do anything with my hair i said you know what im gonna go get it done also since i have to mail the extensions back this weekend thought it'd be a good opportunity...Well i go to this salon that i know a couple of girls who go there and at one wedding we went to this one girl did her hair there and i loved how it came out and she said it was also only $25 so i go there today...Well i bring in my pics from the trial, i even said i dont want it real curly, i like the curls to be more towards the bottom. Throughout the process i said not too curly dong do it to the top, i cant see the back but i can tell it was a bit too curly...then they get to the front and i say please especially in the front DONT curl it to the top just the bottom, I even pulled out the pic from the trials again for the 2nd or 3rd time, they say yeah dont worry it wont be bc after we curl it were gonna loosen it up, so im like OH OK...I even noticed that they were taking small strands to curl and i said, can you take bigger pieces, they kept saying how it wont last if the pieces are too big, i said its ok bc i dont want it too curly...then they get to the top part and start curling and right away i say no bc the top needs to be teased up a little or else the extensions will show, he said yeah im just doing the base but the other guy is gonna do the top part and he'll do that(yes i had someone do half my head, then another person, then the first guy again) he take a blow dryer and on top starts straightening it a little so im thinking ok hes going to do what i asked him, again i take the picture out, which i hate doing bc i hate being a pain but sooooooooo many times ive kept my mouth shut and then regretted it later. Ok so then hes done, the top part is not teased at all and guess what, on the sides you can see the extensions, he goes to take a chunk and just put it over it, uhmmmm that works if i barely move my head, no wind blows and i dont dance. But at this point i realize im talking to myself...the best part is i go to pay, now the girl who had her hair done for a wedding the way i wanted it today, paid about $25-30...i got charged $65, i would not have done my hair if it was that much, especially not for any real occasion.
Honestly, every single time ive gone to places to do something like this, or do my hair in anyway besides cutting or cutting which i have somebody for, they always mess up and NEVER get it right...i dont care if it does look nice, its not what i want...I just thank god i found LIW that made me find claudia pedala bc that is the ONLY time it ever came out exactly how i wanted, even better, and she listened...At first i was like hmmmm its a bit expensive but everytime i saw her do curls for other girls it was EXACTLY what i wanted and now im like you know what im glad bc the money is worth not dealing with this aggrevation and having peace of mind. Honestly with the fact that i never have success with how ppl do my hair i wouldve probably spent more on going from trial to trial
SORRY for the long vent but its annoying...and does this look anything like the hair trial i have

OMG, the same thing happened to me when I went to get my hair cut in the city. The price was posted much lower than what they charged me and when I said ummm what doesnt that price mean they said oh starting at that price. I was soooo pissed.
Though I must say you still look great! I curl my hair a lot with low curls, kinda the sexy bed head look. lol, let me know if you ever need me to curl it for you! On the house!
Thats EXACTLY what i wanted, im so horrible with these things seriously, im not good with doing hair, even make up, like i can do the basic but to do like smokey eyes or eyeshadow period forget it...You know what i do, i take blush and use the blush brush and put it on my eyelids so fast and easy hahahaha...awwwwwww thats so sweet, i should've gone to you today lol
Haha! Im the same with makeup. I do the moisturizer with a tint and sunscreen and a little bronzing powder on the cheeks and slap on some mascara and lip gloss and Im out the door. I can not do smoky eyes at all! I should take a class on it!
yeah sometimes i wish i was good at it and play around with it sometimes, i have tried and i just look like a disaster.

Why be a stylist if you are just going to do what you want and not what the client does?!

Anytime I go to get my hair cut or colored or styled it NEVER comes out the way I ask them to do it, so I know how you feel. And paying more money than what you were expecting to pay only makes it that much more aggravating. But, on the bright side - you look very pretty!
yeah it better be a real fun night to have spent this money to go out, and wait i havent even gotten there yet and already spent money lol

THat sux that you didnt get the style you wanted but it looks good, it would suc even more if you didnt get the style you wanted and looked bad. Hair dressers do the opposite what what the client says, Like when I tell them 'cut only a 1/2 an inch' and they end up cutting 2, where as artists def listen to what you want and do it exactly. I still have my extentions, I have to send them out soon, good thing you mentioned it

Denise I think your hair looks really pretty. Although I totally understand why you are upset. They did not give you what you asked for and they charged you a lot for it. At least now you know to never go there ever again! Hope you have fun tonight!

I totally understand what you go through w/hair stylists....I'm always unhappy when I come out of a salon. I'll explain, show pictures, explain again... and they'll be like I'll make you look beautiful blah blah and I always end up...upset... paying through the nose AND re-doing my hair when I get home. Funny thing is I always book appointments and feel like this time will be different....it should be a nice relaxing pampering time for us girls rt?? wrong..I'm always stressed out by the time I get out. grr... but still I think your hair looks really nice! You look hot have a great time out, don't worry about your hair at least you have an awesome stylist that listens for your wedding!

i DO NOT let clients get up from my chair unless they got exactly what they wanted..that was her first mistake
its your money..she should have made sure you were completly happy before you left
as for color..doing hair IS NOT EASY..people pull different colors then expected sometimes..just cause you pick a swatch out..DOES NOT mean that its going to look exactly like that on your head..there are underlying pigments that change everything..so just because you want something does not mean that its the stylists fault..its your hairs fault sometimes..hair does crazy things
and liars..i hate when people lie about what they do to their har....cause that changes the outsome as well

I know how you feel about salons always messing up. Thats why I love my girl over here by me. She works out of her basement and is the best Ive ever used. She ALWAYS gets it right whether its color or style. Anytime Ive gone to a salon, they never listen to a word I say, they get scissor happy and cut off to much, or dont even come close to the style I want. He probably didnt listen to you because he didnt know what he was doing. And for you to have to come home and fix it is ridiculous after the money you spent! Ugh, anyway, you still look beautiful and youre probably having a great night out by now!

SOOOOOO frsutrating....especially when you say what you want., show them a picture and wham.....that willbe 65 or nothing you asked for. So annoying! Sorry you had such a crappy experience there...at least you already know you have someone fabulous and actually listens to exactly what you want....sometimes those a re the things worth spending extra on!

It looks fine....it's probably harder because you have a vision you want fulfilled AND you always have straight hair...it's a big change from the usual. It looks nice and I'm sure you had fun last night regardless!

thank you so much girls...He made it more curly than i wanted which wasn't my biggest problem bc when you run your fingers through it did open up and although still real curly it did look nice, my problem was that my extensions were showing ALOT on top and on the side, if the curls are that small youre gonna see the clips, one strip of the extensions has three clips and then i had single ones on the side so i would just have a curl on the side of each clip with the clips showing . Thats what i was most annoyed about...but i had to tease the whole top part a big and straight it a little to cover the clips and it worked out, which is what he should've done.
This is what it looked like when i got home at 4am so it also held up pretty well and even now after i slept on that hair still looks the same lol
