Haircolor Advice...

OK, so highlighting isnt doing it for me anymore.
I miss my very light brown color of moons ago..

My sister is doing it for me....
Any preferences or recommendations ?
Loreal ? Clairol ?

Icurrently have highlights and I want my whole head the color of the highlights. I guess you can say like almost a honey-medium/golden blondish ?

hey girl..

If you have bleach in your hair from the higlights know this some pieces will become darker and others lighter bc you are not dying on

VIRGIN hair!

Re: Haircolor Advice...

LOL. Im picturing a disaster and me looking like Cyndi Laupaer at my sons christening on Sunday !

Thats why my husband will be 'surprised' and find out after I did it, he's way too cautious for me, gotta be a little spontaneous in life...

I'm a hairdresser, you would have to use a filler on the highlighted pieces, to cover them up and then color the whole head to give it a even look. I don't know if they sell filler in drugstores or not, but you can maybe try a beauty supply store

That sounds so complicated, lol.
Would it look that bad with the light/dark. I figured it would just look like my hair was lighter with even lighter highlights !
What is a filler, a cream ?

Anna - I'd just go for it. But I'm a risk taker

Honestly Anna, I would go to a hairdresser and get it done properly if you have time. Can you imagine that it comes out awful for JA's christening??? I like change but I leave that up to a hairdresser now that I have been highlighting.

I do think it would look nice with lighter hair and light highlights. You would only need a filler if you wanted even coverage. PS a filler is something that fills in the hair cuticle so that color would stick to it better, being that highlighted hair is so porous. Good Luck.

Re: Haircolor Advice...

I've NEVER done a strand test. I'm so BAD!

of course, had I done one, I would have prevented the carrot top I had 6 months before my wedding. That set me into a panic. I ran to the store at 11pm and was so upset, I had Al put the new color on top to cover it up. He wanted to take pictures but I wouldn't let him. I kinda wish I had them now. I was literally ORANGE - pumpkin orange. It was so not a good color for me.

Good luck Anna - take before and after shots!
