Hairdressers in the Nassau area (HELP)!

My usual hairdresser is unavailable to do my hair on the Sunday that I'm getting married (because it's over Labor Day weekend - he's on vacation )

Does anybody have any fairly enexpensive recomendations - I know Denise Verdi does a wonderful job, but her prices seem high to me. (am I kidding myself here is $175 the usual for an up-do?)

If you are willing to go to a salon, I got my hair and makeup done at Nubest & Co. in Manhasset and they are open on Sundays which is when I got married - they were amazing!!

She comes to you home or hotel the day of.
Updo is $75, trial is $40 and she does a trial out of a salon on Sunrise Hwy & 135.

Here is a pic of my trial with her. She is fantastic. She copied a photo I brought with me perfectly!!!

Try Bocara in Wantagh.. I always get my hair done there... but my friend got married two weeks ago and her and her whole bp got their hair done there and they did a great job

IreneinChicago and I are both using Taralei, from Princess Brides. Do a search on her thread (she spelled it Tarale), and on mine (I think it's called New Trial pics). If you can't find either one let me know, but both of us are really happy.

My Mom carries around wallet size pictures of my trial. Swear it.
