My normal girl does both hair and make up, but at the salon, which is only 2 minutes from my house.
They dont do house calls and if we go there, there would be enough girls so that we would all be getting either hair or make up done at the same time. They use mineral make up and I loved my trial. They dont do clip on extentions, I may be able to buy my own and have them add it in though.
But is it more convenient for everyone to have someone come to the house? I know its more expensive? Your thoughts? pro's? cons?

I was in the same situation and I decided that I didnt want the added anxiety of going to the salon...so I found someone who will. It's more expensive but I think it's totally worth it.

The morning of the wedding, I feel as though I am going to have so much to do, so if someone comes to me it will make my life a little easier.
See if the girl you trust can come to your house (perhaps pay her more than you usually do).

I have someone coming to our hotel room. We were originally going to my normal hair dresser who works from home, but she lives to far away & it's not convenient for 5 girls to travel for a morning wedding.

I think you should do what ever is going to be less stressful for you the day of your wedding. I am having people come to my house but my sister had us go to her salon which is very close. I don't think it really matters.

I have been using my hair person since I was 7 years old, and she only does hair at the salon so I actually have all my girls going to the salon...it's about 20 minutes away...The Makeup artist is coming to my house though!!

It depends on the time of your wedding also...if you're having your wedding later in the day, you could probably afford to travel to a salon...and being that the salon is only two mins. away and it'll cost less, I'd say go for it! I'm having someone do my hair and makeup at home because my ceremony starts early (at 9am!) if it weren't for that, i'd probably travel to a salon...

we're having a morning wedding, but are going to a salon anyway.
the salon is only a 5 min drive, and it will only be me and my MOH, so it's not like 10 heads must be done...

I think it would be easier and less stressful for her to come to you. That is what I am doing. We did that for my sisters wedding and it was so easy

I am having it done @ the ceremony site (which has a huge bridal suite) b/c I'm worried about the possibility of rain.

I plan on having makeup done at the salon....as long as the salon is really closeby I don't think it's such a bad thing at all! It might be good to get away from the chaos of the house!! That's how I see it at least. I'm doing makeup at the salon cuz it's WAY cheaper that way and it's only 10 minutes from my house. Hair is being done at my house simply because my hairstylist works from home anyway!

we rented a penthouse suite and had 5 stylists come to us. It was MUCH easier that way.

I agree that going there is better option as there would be enough girls there and that could save on time and money both.

I am having three people come to me. It's a little more to spend but I'm worried that I'm going to be too stressed out and worrying about getting too and from a salon is one less thing to think about.
