For those of you that have/had large bridal parties (I'm having 7 people getting hair done, not sure about makeup), approximately how many hours did your hair stylist schedule you for to get everything done?
I am trying to confirm with my venue the earliest I am allowed to come to start getting ready (they said whatever time since I have a Friday evening wedding, but I want to make sure I can get there at like 8-9am because I have to be ready for the photographer around 1:30-2:00pm).
A lot of my bridesmaids also have long/thick hair so I'm worried about that with timing, but I'm sure the hair stylists know exactly what they're doing, I just get nervous!

Hair/Makeup Timing
I had 5 girls for makeup and 4 for hair including myself. One came at 8:45AM and the other just after 9AM and they finished way ahead of schedule. You're right, they will know what they're doing. Don't worry about figuring out a time. The pro's know how long it takes to get ready in your time frame. Tell them how many girls and what time you have to be at church and they'll give you a start time.

Re: Hair/Makeup Timing
Are you having the photographer go to where you are while getting ready? My MUA said that photogs typically like to be at the location where the bride is about 30-45 min prior to finishing MU/hair. My photog gave me a rough timeline of this:
Be ready in my dress by 11:45am, if I am leaving by 12:30pm, and he's arriving by 10:30am.
I have 5 girls, including myself, and it will be 1 MUA and 1 hairstylist, and I was told start time of 7am.
So I think it also depends on how many MUA/hairstylists are going to work your bridal party.
I think the biggest question is whether or not you're having makeup done, because that will affect your timing. That's one thing I definitely need since I rarely wear makeup, and I wanted to look all done up for the big day!
I had my trials, and the makeup was amazing! I'm using Erica Does Makeup (she has a hair team too).

Hair/Makeup Timing
I have been apart of two wedding parties that had at 10 people (BMs, MOB,& Bride) have make up and hair done. The ceremony started at 3 or 4, and everyone had to be at the house at 7am. The hair girl had an assistant curling everyone's hair and it was one make up girl and everything was like an assembly line lol. I don't remember what time the photographer arrived I think it was around 1 or 2.. Just to give you an idea of timing with a large group

This. I told my hair girl how many girls I had getting hair done and what time we needed to be done and she told me what time start time was.
