This is going to sound stupid, but, isn't it too soon to be going for trials for my wedding that is nearly 10 months away? I sort of feel like the person isn't even going to remember what they did and what I liked from now til August! I mean, I know I'll have pics but still. I have 2 potential places/people to do my hair so far, and both told me not even to call them for the trial til like May or June. Is this weird?? I'm confused!

Re: Hair/Makeup Trial
I know lots of girls on the boards have gone for their hair and makeup trials already who are all getting married after me and I haven't done any of that stuff yet! (wedding is in May) So I scheduled to go for trials within the next 2 weeks.
I think it's good to book early to see if you like the job they do. If you do the trial too close to your wedding and end up not liking the person, you risk not being able to find someone else because they were all booked already! Good luck

Re: Hair/Makeup Trial
Many girls start trials early because the popular vendors book very early, so they do it as a way to ensure they get the chance to book who they really want.

Re: Hair/Makeup Trial
I did not intend to book this early at all but I wrote an e-mail to Oksana (make-up) asking how early I should book and told her my date and she was already booked for that date!!!! and it's over 10 months away! Other then that I am not going to do trials too early, maybe 4 months before...

Re: Hair/Makeup Trial
depending on how much money you can afford to spend on this...a lot of girls have multiple trials with different people and choose one vendor for their wedding day. i think it helps to do trials with these people to see who you would like to book for your wedding. once you book with them, you can wait to do a trial when it's closer to your day.

Re: Hair/Makeup Trial
Are both peole guarenteeing they will be avail fo ryou wedding date.
I know the reason a lot of gurls do trials so early is b/c certain vendors book quick.
I would say about 6 months prior is fine. May/June seems late.
