Hall questions

Hall questions

We'll be planning on visiting some halls this spring. I need a place where I can have an outdoor ceremony, but only 75-100 guests and as inexpensive as possible. Here's my list...

1 - Vineyard Caterers

2- Fox Hollow

3- Woodbury Country Club

4- The Woodlands

I prefer to stay in Nassau, but considered Vineyard Caterers b/c FH's family are huge wine conoseiurs (sp). The price isn't bad and for a Friday is under $100 per person. Any others under $100 per person depending on the day of the week. I understand that with my budget no way jose am I going to get a Saturday night - I accepted that disappointment a long time ago. Oh and the food MUST be good, I mean not 'okay', it HAS to be good. My father and FH's family will only base their enjoyment on how good the food is, nothing else will matter to them. Let me hear some thoughts on these places and any additional ones that I may not be aware of. Thanks a bunch!

Hi! Definitely check out Fox Hollow. You can have an outdoor ceremony there and the small reception room (the Winter garden pavillion...where our reception is going to be) is beautiful. Fox Hollow gives a ton of food and it was under $100 for a friday! FM me if you have any questions! Have fun looking!

Re: Hall questions

I am getting married on a Friday in November and although I am bias my hall (watermill) has excellent food and I am paying alittle over $100 a per which includes tax & gratuities, but I added on teh seafood boat. I would definitely check out the fox hollow b/c they were cheaper than the watermill or even the westbury manor might be good. I don't think you can go wrong if you go with the scotto brothers.

Re: Hall questions

Majestic Gardens offers beautiful gardens to chose from for an outdoor ceremony. And you get the use of the gardens throughout your hole day. We did a saturday afternoon instead of the evening to save some money. Their food is outstanding and the staff is so nice!

Re: Hall questions

That is my wedding date!!!

I wouldn't wait until the spring to start looking at places.

10/8/06 is the Sunday of Columbus weekend, and when I called around two weeks ago, half the catering halls I called were booked already.

Also, 4 out of the 6 places I checked out said that they charge Saturday night prices for the Sunday before a holiday.

FYI- As of Saturday, the new Hamlet Willow Creek and East Wind (the Estate and Southhampton room) were available. I don't have my price sheet on me... I think both were just a bit over $100, but you can probably haggle. Barbara at Hamlet is great.

Re: Hall questions

You could check out some of the vineyards on the north fork. I think Macari does weddings.

Re: Hall questions

If you're looking to stay in Nassau and stay pretty inexpensive try Stewart Manor Country Club. We looked there for our wedding and the BM quoted $59 pp ++.

ETA: You can do an outdoor ceremony there.

Re: Hall questions

Try the Swan Club. Apparently they have incredible prices and have the outdoor wedding capabilities. Prices are even better on a Sunday there!

FYI- Westbury Manor and the Milleridge are booked for 10/8/06.

Stewart Manor was available as of Sunday. James is great. We were quoted $65 pp before tax and gratuity.

I'm getting married at Woodbury CC (ceremony & reception). You may actually be able to get a Saturday for about 100pp.
