Halloween decor...

Halloween decor...

So... I'm an October 30th girl. Day before Halloween.

My MOH will be wearing black. Our colors are black and green but that really more pertains to our reception a month later.

I dont care at all about flowers and dont want to blow a bunch of money on what is really just a small ceremony with very small amount of people.

I sort of think I want to have pumpkins at the church.

Awful idea?

I mean like all up by the altar? Different sizes and stuff. Harvesty-theme I guess? Or maybe lining the aisle?

Thoughts?

I'm not putting up zombies and monsters. Pumpkins are a vegetable. If you can put up flowers I don't see why you couldn't put a pumpkin.

I like the idea... you could just as easily skip church decor entirely. I surely did. I even forgot to put my aisle runner on the partybus.

You might have an issue brining something 'halloweenish' into a church. They're not huge fans... unless you make a BIG stink about it beeing FALL themed.

okay so i won't say 'halloween'. i'll say 'fall/harvest'

i think thats someting that the church might keep afterwards if ur willing to leave it there. pumpkins not so sure about. i mean, u can definitley do the pumpkins, but i think you're better off with a more harvesty theme than with a halloween theme. or just leave it undecorated. no one will notice if its not decorated.
u can also do pew bows (not black ones) with those dried corn things or wheat things in the bows

just come to my house during october.. my parents spend so much money on hay, pumpkins and other decor in the front yard.

I would totally decorate the church with pumpkins. and have your BMs and yourself have pumpkin bqks or sun flowers.

Jynx! I'm totally planning on doing this. Now my ? Is, where can I buy pumpkins in bulk for less? Aaaannd who can I trust to set it all up for me??

But I loooove the idea, I even want hay bales. And some carved pumpkins too!

Eta: my ceremony is at rh, not a church. But either way, I do not see any reason why it would be a big deal???
