halls around $100

halls around $100

i just got handed the responsibility of planning a fundraiser gala for 500 people later this year. i need suggestions for halls that can fit that many people and are under $100 per person. the cheaper the better, but still classy! any and all suggestions welcome .. ill be making lots of phone calls.

Check out the George washington manor..our wedding was there..ours was small, but I know they have bigger rooms, ( not sure if they hold 500), buts its wortha call, its a beautiful place and the service was FANTASTIC!!

I love the GWM but the biggest room holds a max of 150.

Where in LI are you looking for this? Also, what day of the week - a week day or weekend?

actually anwyhere in new york, not just LI. and definitely a saturday night because a lot of people will be flying in.

My company always uses the Huntington Hilton for seminars & luncheons for almost 1000 people.

I think you should focus on the large hotels. You've got people coming from out of town, and many, many will need hotel rooms somewhere convenient anyway. Although some of the hotels may be more $$ pp when looking for weddings, you've got a huge selling point in that you're talking about 500 people. Per-person rates for that number of people should be FAR below rates for parties of 100-200 people.

Def try leonards. Their grand ballroom is HUGE. Also try the Crest Hollow. My job rents the whole place out for Christmas and there's about 800-1000 people that go.

The Marriot in Uniondale does lots of functions too- I don't know much about it , but its not far from the airports.

Definitely check out Stuart Thomas Manor. Their grand ballroom can hold up to 600 people and they are very reasonabley priced. Less than $100 and the food is absolutely amazing. FM me if you want to know specifics!!!

I agree with littlewilson. Focus on the large hotels. By looking at Spots list, some of those places (like Larkfield Manor and Sunset Harbor) will not hold that many people.

Villa Lombardi's can hold over 500, and I think for that many, you can get them at that price. My wedding was just at $100 for a SUnday night, but with a 120 minimum.
