Halls for smaller gatherings

Original post by unicorn1178

Hey Everyone,

I'm pretty new to this board. Just got engaged on 10/26/03 and am planning a small wedding for 10/22/05. Does anyone know of a reception hall that will be willing to accomodate only 75-100 people. We only want our wedding at this location, so I know it can be tough because most places need you to guarantee a certain number. Any help would be appreciated! :)

I am using the Meadow Club in Port Jeff and only guaranteed 75. I am hoping not to have more than 75-90.

i would definately try Country Gardens at East Wind Caterers.. It's a very quaint 'cottage' setting, with a beautiful garden area.. Good luck

I am getting married at Essex House NYC and having 110 guests. I know that Deseversky in Brookville can accomodate small groups. They are also pretty reasonable, but I'm not sure about their service.

My wedding was at The Beach Club Estate in Ronkonkoma & I only had to guarantee 80. It is beautiful & they did such a great job! Our downpayment was $1000

VANDERBILT MANSION at Dowling!!!
Minimum is 100 but you may be able to talk to them, they are so accomodating.
HONESTLY, you want a place that is reasonable and beautiful and where you can trust the people are there to make your day special. The staff at the Vanderbilt are AWESOME. They were always available for me. IF they needed to get back to me, they called back right away. If I mention a detail once, it was already in the planning notes before I needed to ask again. They were FABULOUS!!!

If you're interested in something in nassau county, try 15th and West at the Nassau County Bar Association in garden city/mineola. I got married there, it was different and very nice!
