So I was looking online for some Queen's halls... Found this: http://www.charismaballroom.com/
Anyone know anything about it? I really am not into Buffet weddings but I wonder why the hell it's so cheap. I can't help but wonder if I should at least look at the place.
I also want to go see Cafe on the Green in Bayside. Anyone been there for wedding or something else? How's the rooms? The Food?
Any other suggestions for place in Queens that are under $100 /pp?

Re: Halls in Queens....
Cafe on the green really nice There is also Douglaston Manor, Verdis of Whitestone... Charisma i believe is more of a dance studio that you can rent out for parties... im almost positive it is in a basement but im not 100%f sure im thinking of the right place

Verdi's in Whitestone has no cocktail room or bridal suite unfortunately from what I read online :(
Douglaston Manor might be a bit out of my price range of what I can afford, but we're still going to go look.
I've heard good things about Cafe on the Green but I have never been there... yet.

I had my Sweet 16 at Charisma. It is more like a dance hall comparable to the Dance Club on Metropolitan Avenue.

I went to 2 weddings at Verdi's in Whitestone. Food was good and we didn't care that there was no cocktail room. The waiters just passed them around.
You can also try Terrace on the Park, Reception House, & Bruno's on the Blvd.

i would try douglaston manor, if you are flexible with day of the week and time of year then i think it will be in your price range.
Also try caffe on the green.
As far as astoria places, ill be honest and say that youre better off elsewhere. I grew up in astoria and know all those halls and you can definitely do better. Astoria is known for good restaurants and places to go out but not the catering halls

Wasn't Dante's the one with that gas leak last year (or earlier this year)?

Russo's on the Bay i can definitely recommend. If my family didn't have so many parties there, i'd be married there myself! Food and Service are great!

Re: Halls in Queens....
I had my engagement party at Caffe on the Green...nice room, great view, good food
You may also want to look into Leonard's of Great Neck, just 2 miles from the Queens border. It's a stone's throw away from Douglaston Manor, so if you're in the area to check out DM, go further down Northern Blvd to look at Leonards...good food, bridal suite, amazing staircase, under $100pp.

Re: Halls in Queens....
I'd def check out Leonards, Russos on the bay, villa russo, terrace on the park, douglaston manor and caffe on the green.
Had my eparty at Verdis and the food is wonderful, the room is kinda small, but nice.
Charisma..I've seen it. I wouldn't reccomend. It just doesn't look very kept up- at lease from the outside and it's definitely in a basement.

I had my E-party at Caffe on the Green last month. The food was really great and honestly the people were OK until they took our money...
For the money its great...just make sure they don't yes you to death. They did that to us and a lot of the stuff they said yes to (and we paid extra for) was not done. The party cost 9k and the extras we added on cost another 5k. So I'm 50/50 with them. It was a great party but they could have been more attentive.
FM me if you would like details. I have pics of the party in my album.
