Halls in Queens....

Original post by Opera_Ghost

So I was looking online for some Queen's halls...
Found this: http://www.charismaballroom.com/

Anyone know anything about it? I really am not into Buffet weddings but I wonder why the hell it's so cheap. I can't help but wonder if I should at least look at the place.

I also want to go see Cafe on the Green in Bayside. Anyone been there for wedding or something else? How's the rooms? The Food?

Any other suggestions for place in Queens that are under $100 /pp?

I had my sweet sixteen at Charisma..its nice kinda of club like (which is why I like it as a kid) you could add decortations and make it fancier

Caffe on the Green is in my neighborhood I think they only hold up to 180 and the two rooms are kinda seperate how big is your wedding?

Terrace on the Park has difeerent packages and the views are gorgeous

I had my Sweet 16 at Charisma. It is more like a dance hall comparable to the Dance Club on Metropolitan Avenue.

i would try douglaston manor, if you are flexible with day of the week and time of year then i think it will be in your price range.

Also try caffe on the green.

As far as astoria places, ill be honest and say that youre better off elsewhere. I grew up in astoria and know all those halls and you can definitely do better. Astoria is known for good restaurants and places to go out but not the catering halls

I second that, I grew up in Astoria as well and wouldn't go near there for a wedding. Astoria catering halls were well known in the 70s and 80s....now they are just run down and not what they used to be.

I live right by Caffe on the Green, it's really pretty. My cousin got married there and her wedding was beautiful.

also, Russo's on the Bay in Howard Beach is gorgeous. The owner works with your budget if you guarantee a certain amount of people. I would check them out. I didn't go there bc everyone in my family got married there, but they throw a beautiful wedding.

Russo's on the Bay and Terrace on the Park will be $100 pp or more depending on what day u choose and then they charge you a 20% service fee so it really comes out to more then $100 pp. Try Stewart Manor Country Club it's @ the beginning of LI so it's not to far. I my just got married there and a Saturday evening Spring wedding was only $80pp. They provide cocktail hr and they also have a outside grounds to have your ceremony. Good Luck

Ariana Waterfalls is also very economical. Do a search on them b/c i know there was @ least one LIW bride that got married there. They have different packages for all budgets.
