For those of you with halter style gowns, what kind of bra/undergarment are you wearing?
Thanks!

Re: HALTER STYLE WEDDING GOWNS?
I have a bra that criss crossed in the back around to the front (cause my dress has a low back) Then you can out the other strap around the neck like a halter. I got it at Blums in Patchogue.

Re: HALTER STYLE WEDDING GOWNS?
I actually bought a long line bra that worked since my dress has criss cross straps in the back, well today was my second fitting and it wasnt comfy, so my friend tells me to take the bra off (mind you I am a DD) i thought she was crazy but blive it or not its works, so I am going braless, it holds it in nicley, i would never have imagined wearing nothing

The dress I want is a halter top when I tried it on the seamstress said she would sew in cups for me so that I wouldn't have to wear a bra.
I was told that I should get a long-line bra without any 'bones' - or else they'd show through the gown...
I've called three lingerie stores (Miriam's, Mary's and Georgette's) - was told that kind of long-line bra doesn't exist without bones!
It's not like I'm large on top - B cup - I think I'll speak to the seamstress at David's Bridal and see about just having cups sewn in - that may be more comfortable anyway!

As a B myself and been a bridesmaid a million times, definately gets the cups. It beats a bra any day and we don't have to worry about support!

Although this seems like a hundred years ago, my prom dress was a halter. I wore a convertible bra where the strap went around my neck, just like the top of my dress.
