Help! My fiance and I have a hold on Hamlet Willow Creek in Mt. Sinai for our Summer 09 wedding. We were super excited but then a family friend told us about attending a recent wedding there and that the food wasn't good. I am freaking out. Does anyone know anything about HWC, good or bad? What would you do? Thanks!
PS -- I'm new to this -- it's so fun!!

Hi and welcome! FH and went to a wedding there back in May. It was nice, however, I didn't like that when you walk in the front door, ur in the cocktail hour. There's no lobbie, you just walk right into the food and bar. Plus they seperate the CH, some food is in the main lobby and some is outside on the deck (which was my fave part about the place, on a beautiful everning, the deck is gorgeous!) Anyway, we didn't even know that they had half the food they had bc it was all separated. But the room where the reception was was nice and the food was good. HTH!

I didn't like this either. I went there while RH shopping and while everything else was great (Barbara is an angel) I was turned off by that.

The food at the HWC is good and bad.I had my wedding there and the CH was awesome, but the sit down dinner was ok. I do not recommend the HWC b/c Barbara was difficult to work with and there were at least 3 things I wanted done that were not. Interesting......We booked with HWC and did a tasting and everything was really good. There have been quite a few brides who have gotten married there over the past few months and raved about everything...

I am also a Hamlet Willow Creek bride. I will be getting married there in a lil over 3 months. I love everything about the place. I think Barbara has been phenomenal. We won't need to worry about the food being separated since the CH will be all inside (our wedding is in February) My only concern about the CH area was lack of seating but I think the whole point is for people to walk around and mingle! So I am not too concerned about that. I think the reception room (also my ceremony room) is absolutely STUNNING! We have our food tasting November 1st and I will be sure to post about the food as soon as I get back from that tasting! I love Hamlet Willow Creek and I love Barbara!!
