Ok so FH and I went around today and saw a few places. We saw Lombardis on the Sound, The Vineyard, and Hamlet Willow Creek. FH was not really that impressed with the first two but he LOVED The Hamlet Willow Creek. We want to have the ceremony there and they are actually making an outdoor ceremony spot this April which is great! Has anyone ever been there for a wedding before? Any thoughts about food, service, views, etc??

Just wanted to say hello as another 2014 Willow Creek bride! I am glad to hear all of the good things mentioned above. My parents have taken to attending their Wednesday dinners and rave about the food. FH and I fell in love with the place at first sight. I too am a little afraid of the cocktail hour space, but I know she said there would be a mock hallway made for guests to go out on the balcony during that time without seeing the big reception room.

We went to a wedding here in october. the food was great! We really enjoyed it. The only thing I really didnt like was the cocktail hour set up. Unfortunatly the weather was very cold & rainy and the cocktail hour had to be held inside. With that, the room was WAY WAY too small & they only had about 150 guests. Maybe less. The set up a 'hallway' to go into another room, (You could still see the reception room & decor) but this room had way less food & was out of the way from the other room. This made it feel very seperated & It was so tight that you couldnt leave to go into the other room & try the other food. Had it not rained I think cocktail hour would have beem beautiful. This honestly was a deal breaker for me & made me not interested in looking at it for my own wedding. The grounds seemed beautiful (though like I said it was raining so it was hard to tell). If this is not that important to you then I would DEF consider this venue as the food & dessert was delish & the service was great.

Yes that is my only worry. But we are having the ceremony outside too so we ar praying for no rain because then things will really be switched around. Besides that we loved the place so much so we decided to book. Fingers crossed :)

I am also getting married at WC. I am nervous about the set up for cocktail hour. I'd hate for people to feel cramped in the space. My wedding is this May so we are hoping for good weather!
My FI and are have a meeting set up in two weeks to discuss some details and that will be my #1 question!
