Earlier this week I posted that I was having trouble finding a reception hall that I like and I was thinking that I should just book a place that my FH liked and I was just so so about. Everyone told me to keep looking and now I have the opposite problem! We went to see the Miller Place Inn and the Hamlet Willow Creek on Thursday and really really loved both though they have totally different vibes. Today I took my mom and FMIL and my mom liked HWC and FMIL liked MPI. FMIL has been to several functions at MPI and enjoyed then all so I think that's why she would prefer it.
Has anyone ever been to a wedding at HWC and have any opinions? Has anyone been to both and have any preference?

We were going to go with HWC if we did not find the wonderful place we are getting married at now...we loved the look and the feel..it was very 'us' and the place we picked is decorated quite similarly, so I say go for it at HWC..reasonable and the woman I hear is fabulous! Good luck!

I looked at Hamlet Willow Creek and loved it...but had my heart set on an outdoor wedding...and since they couldn't accomodate I ruled them out...but otherwise I loved the look of the place & the way the room is decorated, pricing was good too...love where I am getting married but would've had that as my 2nd choice!!

I vote for Hamlet Willow Creek! I went there and it was my #1 but the $$$ didn't work out so I didn't book there :( It is Beautiful and I have heard great things about the food and service.
