Hamlet Wind Watch Hotel ...Has anyone stayed overnight?
I am thinking about changing my hotel from the Islandia Marriot to the Hamlet Wind Watch and need your opinions. I have been to a conference there and it seemed nice but how are the rooms and service. I am concerned about the service I have gotten so far in just requesting a contract (took 3 calls) and directional cards (also took 3 calls). Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

The hotel is the Wyndam Wind Watch. The golf club is the Hamlet. Call Lisa Gange at 631-232-9800. She is in charge of booking room blocks for weddings. I am having my reception at the Hamlet and have a lot of out of town guests. Lisa sent me my contract, direction cards etc.. in a very timely manner. She has been a great help.
The rooms are really nice and so is the service.

Hamlet Wind Watch Hotel ...Has anyone stayed overnight?
We used the Marriot as our hotel for out of town guests and we stayed there on our wedding night. It was okay but the one thing at the Marriot is they don't really have a bar that stays open late and this was a dissappointment for us because we wanted to invite people back to the hotel after the reception.
My friend got married at the Wind Watch and we stayed there the night before the wedding -- I thought the rooms were nice and they are about the same price.

I chose the wind watch for my reception too. Have you chosen your vendors yet?

Annavan.... yes
I have chosen almost everything except the tuxedos and finalized the hotel. I now feel confident that the Wyndam Wind Watch is the right choice. I think I am just starting to get nervous out everything. Thanks for all your help and if anyone can recommend a good tuxedo place, let me know.

Annavan.... yes
Who are you using for flowers and music? Denise recommended a couple of places but I would be interested to see who you ultimately chose. I am glad I chose the Wind Watch too...I think its beautiful.

Flowers and Music
I am using Flowers by Burtons (great prices and good quality) and The Mystic for our band (played at my sister-in-laws wedding in February and are great). For ceremony music we are going to use the church furnished singer and player, unless we have some extra money once it gets closer for a string quartet. Just let me know if you need anyones number.

One other question...
Thanks so much for your help. One more question...what about a photographer. They recommended photos of the heart. Who are you using?

Annavan-you booked The Hamlet
It is great to meet other Hamlet brides.
I am also using Flowers by Burton. They are great to work with and I really like the fact that they price per item, not by type of flowers.
I am using Mark Kauffman for photography and Wild Rose for video. My band is Milestone Music.
When is your wedding? Mine in Nov.2, 2002.

One other question...
I really liked Photos of the Heart but went with Patken instead. Patken's (Steve is the photographer) photos were not 'cookie cutter' they had a different style to them and I know a few people who have used them. If you go to Photos of the Heart website you can look at alot of their work and see what you think for yourself. Good Luck
