Hamptons, Montauk, North Fork, Other east end places...

Danielle and I and our friends Kathy and Andrew who are also married are looking to goaway for Colombus day weekend. We are looking to go from Friday Oct 8th till Monday Oct. 11th. Danielle was thinking about going to Pennsylvania, but I was thinking that there is so much good stuff on Long Island that e never see and that I would like to see...In october there are craft fairs, and pumpkin picking, and the vinyards etc....

Can anyone recommend a Hotel or an INN that offers Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, or Just Breakfast and Dinner included in the price? Something that is inexpensive. I know it is a holiday weekend and prices are higher.

Please post your reviews here. If you stayed somewhere that isnt listed in the towns I listed, you can still post them here.
Thanks,
Scott

Years ago, we stayed at a place called the Windjammer .. however .. on our recent trip out there .. they are now called North by Northeast .. I believe.

Anyway .. I know that's not helpful ..

but the real reason I'm posting this .. because I wanted to recommend stopping in at Levain Bakery .. and try their cookies!! They are totally amazing!

They're at 354 Montauk Highway in Wainscott (East Hampton).

The Inn where I'm having my wedding is in Southampton, and pretty reasonable... for most nights it's under $130 (except Saturday - I think it's $169 in the off season)... they offer free breakfast, but not dinner... and they're pet friendly! (dog and cat bisquits are included with breakfast for your furry friends!)

I have never heard of this place. But, I wonder if that package will be available since its CD weekend...

There is also a big country fair in Riverhead Main Street on the Sunday of COlumbus Day Weekend...so you might want to stay closer to that area...not sure if anything is going on in Montauk for CD weekend...Montauk is usually oretty dead by Columbus Day Weekend....

What is the North Shore? Do you mean the North Shore of Long Island?

Thats what I figured. Does anyone know of any good sites to look for hotels to stay on the east end..A site that has reviews would be excellent.
Thanks,
Scott

Especially since you are going with another couple, I would HIGHLY recommend Royal Atlantic East in Montauk.

It's expensive ($325/night for that time of year) but if you split it, it's not bad at all. It's a 2 story condo, right on the ocean, with a fireplace and anything that you'd need. Defiantely, at least check it out!!

I see that they give you a free continental breakfast. That is good, and the place looks really beautiful. Have you stayed their before? Is there vineyards and other things close by to the resort?
Thanks,
Scott

I've stayed there many times. Their 'continental breakfast' consists of a basket of muffins/danish, a pot of coffee and the newspaper delivered to your door each morning. The location is great, because it's right on the ocean and right near town. You're really close to the lighthouse, great shops in town, and Gosmans Dock is maybe 5 minutes away. It's relaxing and peaceful, and my favorite place! Let me know if you have any other questions!
