Hamptons/Montauk wedding?

One of my Bm's just got engaged this past week, and she is trying to plan a wedding for next year. Her first choice is to bring people to the Atlantis in the Bahamas for a small wedding (40 ppl) She will either pay for airfare or hotel. But she wants a back up plan just in case this doesn't work. I suggested out east. She thought the idea sounded great. Are there any places that you would recommend for the ceremony and small reception??
I thought of Gerny's (Spelled wrong) Is that place too big? Are there any other places??
On another note, it was fun helping her do all of this, it was worry-free because its not my wedding

I think a girl on here had a wedding in montauk - I think she was wood2be or something like that.

She had great pictures. She got married back in the fall and her write up in the the bridal review section.

Check out montauk manor and southampton inn. There are also a few nice places on shelter island.

There are lots of restaurants in the hamptons area that are not necessarily wedding venues but do weddings....so search for all restaurants on www.hamptons.com or www.southforkweddings.com or www.northforkweddings.com and you will get some great ideas.
It all depends on her budget. East hampton Point is lovely but $$$....Good Luck!
