Hand-Canceling the invitations???

Is anyone going to 'hand-cancel' their invitations, and if so, why? Does it make a difference in how they look? The back of my inner envelopes were sealed with sealing wax, so I was wondering if I should hand-cancel them? Does the post office do it? Free? I'm really in the dark about it.

Thanks!

The guy at the post office told me to do it, he just handed me the stamp and I stepped to the side. It took about 10-15 minutes. I did it to look nicer!

hand canceling is a stamp you use to stamp the stamp so they don't go through the machine and get bent
