Haha and some Guyanese people and other related cultures consider those people family.
I have a guyanese friend... and EVERYONE IS AUNT BEBE!!! haha!!! I went to her shower and wedding and all the other events (there's a lot in indian weddings) and every other name being said was AUNT BEBE!! Only to find out NONE of them were her aunt or even technically related to her. It's more like a respect thing I was told.
It's lik ethat in many WestIndian families because i grew up thinking that half of my neighborhood were aunts and uncles..lol...
LOL yup!!! All auntie and uncle!!! I heard it throughout all her festivities. I went to them all too... i can't remembe the names... ahh it's going to bother me though. The dye thing.. man something?? ahh!! I went to the LONG *** indian wedding ceremony!! I couldn't believe how long it was!!! I sat on the foor with my shoes off and all. It was quite an experience!! I was soo excited to go and see how it all goes down!! It's awesome to see another culture do their thing!! Soo different but soo nice!!

Re: Handing out invites...tacky???
I might hand deliver some to my work friends which they suggested. I was appalled but we are all so close and they said save yourself the postage. but this is only cause they said it. If not i would definitely mail...
