I posted a month or so ago that FH had a final interview for a new job, he got it!!
(I didn't wanna post the name of the company again, incase anyone who knows his boss reads these posts, he boss is a d*ck and would fire him out of spite)
He starts the new job in June and for the entire month of July he will need to go to out of state with no trips home... . I'm freakin out about being alone for a month :(
I'm the kinda person who hates to be home alone at night, this is why I could never actually live alone....
i don't wanna keep venting to him about my concern cuz it makes him feel bad and he should be happy for this wonderful oppertunity so im venting to you all..

Re: Happy, but concerned
My FH travels sometimes to. He goes away for 3 or 4 days at a time. Its hard to get used to but you will be okay. Especially for that long its hard to be alone at night. Maybe have a close friend stay by you or stay by a friends house or relatives as much as you can while he is gone. Just remember that its so exciting when they do come back from being away. Congrats to him on getting the job!!!

Vent all you want...most of us will know how you feel. Any way to convince girl friends or family to stay over a couple of diff nights? I love sleepovers when FH is away!

Re: Happy, but concerned
When FH and I first moved in together, he got a job that required him to travel most days out of the weekend and was home pretty much only on weekends.
It was really hard at first, but we got used to it. As a matter of fact, there were times when I was kind of happy to have the place to myself, and I got a lot more done that way. And my apartment was always so clean! No FH to mess it up
But I understand how you feel. It's hard and scary, but if it's only for the one month, I'm sure you two could get through it. Just think how great it'll be when he gets home!

Re: Happy, but concerned
My FH travels a lot and I have learned to use that time for myself. I make plans with family and friends...I also try to do things that I enjoy BUT FH could live without. Many times when FH is away we have the best conversations...he knows that he can't reach out and hug me so he tells me about his feelings (MY FH rarely does this). The best part of FH going away is that he always brings me back awesome gifts!!!!

Re: Happy, but concerned
Honestly, you will be alright. When I was with him, my ex got a job that took him out of town for 2 weeks out of every month...I still got a little paranoid being alone but I'd lock both locks as soon as I got home and I felt fine.
Also I agree it gives you an opportunity to get to know FH in a different way. FH lives in Ohio and has for the entirety of our relationship...I truly feel that being apart has only advanced our relationship, since we only had the phone and the computer to talk on. You express things you may not normally express...and you can do cute things too, like tucking little love notes into the pockets of the pants he takes so that he'll find something from you while he is away.
And before you know it he'll be back!!!! A month can go by faster than you think...sometimes it feels forever but then I'm back in FH's arms and it feels like I never left.
ETA: I forgot to say congrats on the job!!!! That's great!!!!
