Happy Chanukah...

This was our first Chaunkah Menorah lighting in our own home together! May all of your lives be filled with miracles and light as they are on Chanukah!

ATTENTION ALL MENORAH LIGHTERS!!!!
Notice the electric one (pic #2)is on display for the people OUTSIDE and that is why the lights are from left to right as opposed to the one with candles (pic #1)which is right to left.

Thanks!!!!I can't find my candle menorahs. And I have 3 of them! And I bought candles! I have the electric ready!

We're waiting for my sister to come home, and then we're lighting candles (I'm with my parents, FH is over at his grandparents' house for Christmas, he'll be over later and we'll do a little mini lighting together)

Chag Sameach
vs.
Chag Simcha?

Are they the same?

chag sameach means happy festival (literally)
(chag=festival, sameach=happy)
but, it just means happy holiday!

and chag simcha would mean festival/holiday of joyous occasion/celebration which is kinda redundant...

i've never heard anyone say chag simcha....

I had my grandma's menorah all ready, but we couldn't find anyplace open that had candles!
But I covered an outdoor lighting for work (for a newspaper) so that's gotta count for something.
