Happy Day!!

We FINALLY got our security deposit back from our apartment... we lived there for 5 years before buying a new house in April.

I expected that they would just take money out for EVERYTHING - i accidentally took the silverware basket from the dishwasher, I also nabbed the ice cube trays inadvertantly. The person i hired to clean the kitchen forgot to clean the oven. The wood floors were a little worse for the wear from the toys and the furniture scuffs and we had none of the same blinds from when we moved in.

They gave us EVERYTHING back! They did take out tax... which I found weird.. BUT I got about 4G back adn that makes me HAPPY!!!!!!!!! Like a mini tax return at the end of August!

that's great news that didnt your landlord didn't nickel and dime you for the litte wear and tear..

my former landlord was a piece of poo, he puts my 2month deposit into the bank which he gets to collect interest on... then he has the nerve to send me the tax bill for the interest every year, for 7 years!

and of course he tries to not pay me back the deposit when i finally left. i refused to give him the key tho until he paid back everything.... ;)
