Happy Ending to an adoption story...

Happy Ending to an adoption story...

My hubby's coworker has been in the process of adopting a child from China...

I remember months ago, John telling me that this guy was being given a REALLY hard time in the process. One issue being that he didnt grow up with a dad, and they said 'Well what type of father figure can you be if you never had a father figure?' CAN YOU IMAGINE???

Well, just yesterday this precious, adorable, happy, bouncing baby boy was brought home to his new mommy and daddy and to start his new life.......

I got the chills as I looked at his PRECIOUS pictures (Id post them but its not my place
) and just knowing that every day there are these amazing beginnings to a new life for these children.........

Its funny how we've had posts on adoption in the past day or so, and John and I were also just discussing this over dinner and he said 'If we couldnt have kids, Id ABSOLUTELY ADOPT, NO QUESTION, ARE YOU KIDDING ME ???' and he said 'My life wouldnt be complete without kids. NO WAY. NOPE. Just wouldnt be complete, I couldnt imagine'
I just thought it was weird that these were the posts we were discussing on here...
and he and I have the same exact feelings on it.

Oh, forgot to mention, the baby boy's name is Hunter. Isnt that precious ?????

Re: Happy Ending to an adoption story...

That's awesome! I have a friend who lives in Wisconsin, and she and her husband have 2 healthy, happy little girls of their own. However, they are currently in India finalizing the process of adopting twin boys, not because they cannot have anymore children, but because they wanted to give a child a home and wound up with two. They are also going to be on Adoption Stories on the Discovery Channel! They will be parents to four children under the age of 7 and I give them so much credit for doing something so selfless. They were put through the wringer and I think it sucks that people who want to give a child a home and be loving parents to a child without parents have to go through so much financially and emotionally to do so. Congrats to your husband's co-worker and his wife and son! I love happy endings!

That's great!!! I love the name!!

I can't believe they got a boy! Very rare when adopting from China!

My cousin had to send the adoption place photos of her w/ her family (they have 2 boys of their own) also their siblings, their nieces & nephews. They want to make sure that they will be going to a loving family environment.

In a way its good that they do research on the family, obviously, but to the point at which they do it is offensive and wrong at times

Jann-tell us when it will be on! Promise??? How adorable, twin boys!

Definitely! They're still there and they probably will want to do a follow-up after they get home, which isn't for another 2 weeks, I think, so it could be months down the road. As soon as I know, I'll share!
