so...i got a call from my old best friend from high school. She started by saying 'omg I have so much to tell you, I'm getting married!' so i say 'oh wow, really? thats awesome...so when did he ask?' 'around halloween' to which i reply 'oh wow so did you guys set a date?' ...'yeah, December 14th' ...'oh how wonderful' 'yeah sooo...9 days!!!...and we're looking to buy a house in ur neighborhood. remember my friend i told you about? she wants to talk to you. so she gets on and tells me...the bridal shower is THIS SATURDAY AND SHE'S REGISTERED AT ___ AND __.!!!' are you friggin kidding me?!?! I'm so very happy for her don't get me wrong...but...where tf were you when i got engaged and moved into my home...nowhere to be found...and now i don't find out until 9 days before ur wedding that ur getting married...but i am expected to be at a bridal shower and bring my gift in only 4 days?!?!?!
I'm kind of annoyed right now to say the least.

btw...i recieved my invitation for the bridal shower yesterday...via myspace. Still no info on the wedding though. Not only was she invited to my wedding...but her parents and child were too. when i told her i was engaged the first words outta her mouth were 'so when do i pick out my dress', she totally assumed she was a BM...so why am i an afterthought when she gets engaged.

WOW! I would just be 'mad and shocked', not 'happy, mad and shicked!
A Myspace invite for the shower that is this weekend? No freaking way! Maybe send her a small gift. Definitely something on sale or clearance.
Keep us posted about whether or not u r invited to the wedding.
Honestly, if I was in your situation, I would probably say something to her. Especially bc she said, 'What color is my BM's dress for your wedding?' That shows a presumption of closeness and yet she is not reciprocating to you.
