Happy Maid of Honor newsss

So I'm the type of person who always feels like I'm imposing whenever I ask for a favor. So when it comes to the whole Maid of Honor and Bridesmaid thing, I feel kind of bad asking. I know its suppose to be an honor, and everything, but I feel like it's also a responsibility.

So long story short, I have a friend, who I usually call my sister, that I've known since we were 5. Her parents died when she was young, my grandparents died when I was young and so our families kind of intertwined. We were extremely close, even lived together, until we were about 17. Then she had a BF and moved in with him, I met FH and he moved in with me..and we weren't as close as we were. She had 2 kids, and we're still good friends, but obviously not as close as we use to be.

But beings she has two kids (a 3yr old and a 2month old) I didn't want to bother her...well today we were talking online and she was asking me why I don't talk to her about the wedding much, and I told her I understand that she's busy and everything, plus I don't want to annoy people with wedding talk. And she said please, just tell me everything possible, annoy the crap out of me with it!! I want to help and I want to make this day the best day of your life. So I was like well, do you know what I really want? And I told her I'd be really happy if we can get closer again and she could be my Maid of Honor and she started crying..she is really happy and so am I!!!

I told her to forget that i asked her that way, because I plan on doing somehting more special than that lolz..but i'm soo happy!!

that's really sweet. i'm sure that means a lot to her. she seems like she will be very involved. this will bring you guys closer together. yay

Actually, I have to thank you because it's somewhat because of your post (and Orpah lolz)that I kind of deceided to blurt that out to her today. Last nite I caught the end of Oprah, and she had Arnold Shwartzenager's (sp?? ) Wife on, and she has a new book, and they were talking about how woman put themselves last, or we don't want to ask anyone for help because we feel we should be able to handle it, or we don't want to bother anyone. Anyway, in her book, she makes a pledge to herself to just make some time for yourself, or ask for things that you want. So I guess it kind of stuck with me throughout the day today, and it helped me just come out and say what I wanted
