Happy Monday everyone! Thanks Kim for picking me as BOTW!

I am hoping there are some other Game of Thrones fans on here because I feel like I have to tie this in today. (Not gonna say too much, no spoilers)!

For those of you that don't watch last night was the “purple wedding” it was over the top with in every way, the decor, the food and especially the entertainment.

So,my question is what’s the most “over the top” aspect of your wedding? Is anyone having entertainment other than DJ or Band? Any unique decor ideas?

I think our food may be a little over the top. After cocktail hour and dinner we are doing an after party at the venue, which includes more food! We are doing a Coney Island, sliders and craft beer stations. And then waiting outside the venue is going to be a pizza truck. I know its totally excessive but this specific pizza place is like a staple in FH family, when we found out they had a truck we couldn’t pass it up!

FH and I are really excited about our band. We booked East Cost, the lead singer is Big Mike from American Idol and he’s so amazing. I’m in love with him (don’t tell FH haha). I think that was probably out biggest splurge, but I know it’s gonna be worth it!'
We are also trying to work on a cigar rolling station in the outdoor area, I know the men in my family would love that.

Not sure what is over the top about ours. Maybe the NYPD Bagpipe Marching Band that is coming during the reception for a few.

lol I feel like just having a wedding on LI automatically makes this over the top. So different from any out of state weddings i've gone to!

Unrelated to the question but related to game of thrones: Not sure if it's cause last night's wedding was fresh in my brain but FH and I BOTH had wedding nightmares last night! He dreamt the priest wouldnt give us our rings and skipped over that part of the wedding because the priest said he thought we wouldnt make it. My dream was FULL of crisises! First being my wedding shoes were all missing, my hair was a rat's nest and I had like 40 bridesmaids all of whom i didnt know and they werent wearing the right color dresses. It was SO bizarre we both had nightmares. Had to share. No more Game of Thrones before bedtime

That's Awesome my FH is nypd

First of all I LOVE game of thrones!!!!! After this past season I decided to read the books so I got threw a lot of it so I knew what was coming last night...but I was kinda sad I didn't get to experience the surprise last night with everyone else.

As for what is over the top I would probably say the food too....I can't even list all the options we have I don't care what people say I will ignore everyone to make sure I eat lol.

And I also have had nightmares here and there about random things, hating my dress, everything turning out wrong, I think it's normal lolol

I guess I'd say the food too since we have so many options and then we had a problems with the hall so they threw in more food stations on top of it! We have caramel apples for favors so in case people didn't get enough they can have a sweet midnight snack =)

I don't think we have just 1 thing that's over the top per-say. I think the entire wedding (like Caity828 said) is over the top since its an LI wedding. I guess the one thing that we splurged for was our photographer.

Love love love GOT! I don't know if it was me, but I couldn't stand the princess/Queen/one getting married's hair. I thought she looked like someone from Dr. Seuss movie!

GOT was crazy! The 'entertainment' was disgusting and I was not surprised at what happened at the end! Who do you think it was!?

We had a lot of little personal touches at the wedding that in the long run, ended up costing a lot of money. The most over the top thing we had was probably the Viennese Hour - it was incredible!
