I REALLY wanted to have our first dance be, 'We're in this together now' by Nine Inch Nails - but that would SCARE the CRAP out of people!!!!! Read the words - it's BEAUTIFUL!!! It's us against the world lyrics...so appropriate for everything we've gone through...still thinking of maybe using it... I was thinking we could always type out the lyrics and place them on the tables - so for those who are scared - they can read the lyrics & feel warm & fuzzy..

yeah, didn't even think about NIN. How about the into to 'Only'? I love the bass on it. Hmmm, we just might use that for one of the intros

Re: Hard Rock & Metal Brides!

We were going to use Walk by Pantera for our BP (just that intro part and have the DJ loop it because the whole song is not appropriate) then FH has a list of Tool songs that would be good for us...but again, it would only be the intro of the songs. I think it is awesome that you are using Nothing Else Matters.... one of our songs is Hero of the Day. It is so nice to know that there are other non traditional brides out there!! Rock On!!

Oh... Muse has some great songs that would be good for intros...they are not heavy but they are rock and really good.

We actually wanted to use a system of a down song at first for our entrance. One that would go with a wedding is BYOB, i know its one of their more popular over played songs lol but probably would go best

during the wedding for a slow song fh and i are using 'vermillion pt 2' by slipknot

Or for bp entrance what about 'let the bodies hit the floor' or maybe a song by marilyn manson such as dopeshow, or beautiful people

its still early in the morning and im not fully awake lol ill think of more things

Vermillion pt 2 is one of our songs too!! LOVE IT!!!

Re: Hard Rock & Metal Brides!

My wedding was Satuday & my DJ was the best. He's not the typical DJ, he hates rap, hip hop & all the usual wedding stuff. He will still play all that when he has to but he preferrs rock or 80's music. He had so many suggestions for songs & he played exactly everything I told him & a few more that I would never have thought of. Everyone loved it!
So if anyone needs a good dj, which is hard to find, it's Dj Cody from alternative sounds. (I swear he's not paying me I just loved him)

Re: Hard Rock & Metal Brides!

Here is what we have so far:
Cake cutting: “Pour some sugar on me” Def Leppard

Garter removal: “Legs” ZZ top

Throwing of Bouquet: “Gold Digger” Kayne West

Tossing of garter: 'Wild Thing' by Tone-Loc

Putting on garter: “Candy Girl” - New Edition

I really want to have a TOOL or A Perfect Circle song played somewhere though.

I love the intro to walk, but thought that it was too short...didn't even dawn on us that we could loop something - thanks! My FH's favorite band in the world is Tool and he's been trying to find an instrumental or intro that's not too dark, but I think he's having a hard time...he loves the intro to Vicarious, so that's been a contender...we'll see, I guess! I'll def check out Muse - thanks!

Re: Hard Rock & Metal Brides!

I am a hard rock & heavy metal fan too! I hope to find a happy comprise with the music. i plan on walking into the reception hall to 'Doctor Doctor' by Iron Maiden. It is a UFO remake and, at Iron Maiden concerts, it is played right before they come on stage.

Re: Hard Rock & Metal Brides!

I miss this post - so I wanted to bump....

If we were doing a 'garter toss' - we'd want to use 'Darling Nikki' - but not Princes' version - the Foo Fighters version...but we'd have to play that one REAL quiet like...not sure there's a clean version of that!!!

Re: Hard Rock & Metal Brides!

LOL I don't think there is...actually, I don't think there could be

I think we've narrowed it down to 3 choices now for the introductions:
Vote with a Bullet: Corrosion of Conformity
Ladies & Gentlemen: Saliva
I Don't Want to Stop: Ozzy

We're not doing the garter toss, etc. so thankfully that narrows down the # of decisions we need to make

I'm going to go through my cd collection tonight & see if i can find anything else. I suggested Nothing Else Matters to FH - but he said that's one of the FEW Metallica songs he doesn't like....blah!

Re: Hard Rock & Metal Brides!

We're going totally US for that one...

Reservoir Dogs scene mean anything to anyone???

We're using Stuck In the Middle With You & FH is going to dance around the cake. Maybe 10 people will get the joke - but those that do will be falling on the floor...

I'll think on it....
