I said that to him once or twice a while ago, followed by my GOD AWFUL rendition of the opening screams and he just shakes his head, rolls his eyes and walks away!!

Although there is a WONDERFUL rap song called, 'MOVE B I T C H, get out the way' that warms our hearts too...we've been telling EVERYONE we're using that...

we LOVE that song, and are also trying to work it in...we decided it's not very first-dance-able, but isn't it just the most romantic song ever??

FH's favorite bands are Slayer and Alice in Chains.
Mine is Pearl Jam....
i think all AIC songs are just too depressing. I will post some of our list later when i can find it.

we hate dance music, and it's really hard to come up with songs that people will recognize and dance to. we are thinking of sticking to classic rock/disco for the dancing...

i didn't realize there was anyone else on here into good music....
let's keep this thread going!

We're having a hard time with that too - no dance music. Our Dj was already told - NO GROUP DANCES, no chicken dance, no macarena, nothing like that. We're having issues trying to be true to our musical tastes!!!

FH loves soooooooooo many bands it's really hard to narrow it down. I asked him that once and he was so confused.

I love EVERYTHING from NIN to Alice in Chains to Less Claypool... RHCP are okay - as long as they aren't WHINEY!!!! I can't stand the songs where it just sounds like he's whining!!!!

I just LOVE picturing his mom's face hearing that song when she's supposed to be DANCING with her little boy....UGH!

They are great...FH actually came out on some DVD of theirs, he was in the mosh pit...its funny bc ive been to tons of concerts, he goes to 1 rock concert and hes on a video he likes rubbing it in too hahahahaha

It's tough...it really is, because you want EVERYONE to enjoy themselves and unfortunately we're in the musical minority! Same here, though - NOOOO group dances! YUCK!

We shocked the whole room. Our family and friends were going crazy

You might not consider it Hard Rock but this song and our band kicked a***.

we're going to use Ozzy's No More Tears (the instrumental part) for the whole BP and at the point where it builds up and then it's our turn hehehehe

definitely playing janis joplin-shes my favorite, ball and chain would be perfect lol...but more for dancing or something i would say 'piece of my heart'

OMG - Disturbed it totally my favorite band & I was listening to everything I have with me here at work this morning, but can't find anything appropriate so far...

That's the problem - we love Korn, System of a Down, Drowning Pool, etc. but while we want the music to represent US, we also don't want to scare all the grannies and family members who will just be like 'what?!?' We're trying to find a good 'happy medium' song, you know?

Disturbed is def. one of my favs too, but I think FH already picked out what he wants our entrance song to be lol we havent decided on the bridal party but before we come out he wants the beginning part of Hells Bells (just the ringing of the bells) to play then when they open the doors he wants Enter SAndman to play. I thought we could have picked a better rock song but my dad agrees with both too. Esp Hells Bells b/c he said once you're married you're def. in hell haha
