Harpist

I'm considering a harpist vs. singer for my wedding in Pt. Lookout. Does anyone have recommendations? Thanks.

400 bucks for the ceremony, she'll play whatever and whenever you want her to throughout the entire thing, and will come early to play as the guests arrive.

I'm not sure of the rate for cocktail hours. She books fast so call her

Janet King played my ceremony and it was really beautiful! She is worth every penny we paid.

Janet King raised her rates. I spoke w/her this week and she wanted $500 for the ceremoney and $700 for both. My weding is in May of next year. I have heard great things about her, I did think her attitude was a bit cocky though. I won't be using her.

Maybe it was just me, I was a bit put off by my hearing $400 from everyone on the boards and she quoted me $500.

Karen - don't be put off by a vendor raising their rates. Most vendors do this every year, so it might just be that you spoke with Janet King and she quoted you her 2003 rates, while other brides may have quoted you a rate for 2002 or even 2001, depending upon when they booked her service.

I was at Michele31's wedding, and Janet King did a beautiful job...it was a very sweet touch to the ceremony.
