Has anyone ever been to a wedding there? Has anyone gone there to take a look and speak with someone? Trying to get an idea of the grounds, food, and prices.
I liked it a lot, but had a bad experience with one of the banquet managers, Bill. I have read other posts about him on here as well. Try to meet with someone else if you can. They were renovating the ballroom over the winter, should be near completion. I'm sure it is beautiful!
Honestly I went there for a wedding and the way the room was set up we didn't see the bride and groom all night because it's like a 'T shaped' room if you have more ppl than will fit into the one room. I didn't like that but otherwise it was nice.
That would be my only issue with it also...the main room for dinner is set up awkward. My cousin had her wedding there 5/02...we had great seats because we were closer to them being family but there were people who were so far that they were practically sitting in another room...they couldnt even see the dancefloor. Other than that, the food & service were good (from what I remember) and the place was beautiful. Good luck!
I looked @ it when I was planning... I had a problem w. a room set up too- to accommate teh 12 piece band we were having, they wanted to put them in a different room... why bother having a band then, you might as well just pipe in music.
Thats right. I couldn't believe that when they said they would put the band on the otherside of the french doors! Not paying all that money for them to be hidden.
It is also a hotel, my FI and I have a wedding at the Metropolitan and we are staying at the Harrison House on Saturday night. Ill check it out and I will let you know.

My sister was married there and by far the best wedding I have been to. Her contact was Bill and he was fantastic. Sometimes you cant believe everything you read.
They are almost complete with there renovations and we are looking there next week.![]()
I am getting married there as well...had a bad experience with Bill...but Carmella is wonderful!

I did not like the room. Also, they tell you that it is only one wedding at a time (but they don't tell you that they could book another non-wedding party). I also wanted my reception outside and found that the cars driving by were too loud.
I hear that they are doing a lot of renovation there and it will be done by your date. Check it out maybe the floor plan will be different. I thought it was nice but there were to many rooms for the amount of people that I am having. I think its great for about 200 guests.
My brother had all his company summer parties there and said the grounds are really beautiful....I don't know anything about the ballroom but it looks like it would be beautiful...
