So, FH and I were just entertaining the idea of doing a Universal Studios stay to visit the new Harry Potter thing. I think it'd be really expensive to stay there, though, and from what I've heard, we could get much better deals going on a cruise or to an island. Maybe we'll just visit the park and other parts of Universal for a day or two! It looks like fun! (Probably pretty expensive in general..but fun if you're a fan)
Anyone have recommendations for an awesome yet really low-budget February honeymoon?

I just got an email yesterday i think w special deals.
honestly. I'd just stay a few days and then go off somewhere else. You can only do so amny days at universal.
we went to Disney in 2003. We stayed at the Coronado springs. It cost us over 4k with NO MEALS. yes that included disney tix but still. We went to Univ too and that was extra.
and Im dying to go to that HP park!

agreed - much cheaper to stay somewhere else but I LOVE the idea! I definitely want to plan a Disney vacay specifically cause I want to go to that Harry Potter. Maybe you guys can do a cruise that leaves from Florida - plan to stay in Florida a day or two before the cruise leaves, you can vist the parks and then head off on the cruise.
I know NCL does cruises that leave from Florida and they have some pretty nice destinations.

Yeah, we might do that. We're still not sure what we want to do/where we want to go in general. My family lived in Florida for a while, and he doesn't really like it there...though we both enjoy the parks...and neither of us have been to the Keys. We've never gone on a cruise or gone anywhere south of Florida either.

We go to Disney/Universal in Orlando every year so you know I'm all for it! That Harry Potter section looks SO cool, too! I wanna go!

we were thinking of doing to same thing. if we go to the Carribian we will go to Florida for a few days on the way back to stop there ( unless i cant help myself and i go this year!)

Hey ladies! FH and I wanted to do a similar HM... Take a cruise out of Florida and then spend some time having fun in Universal... so in my research I came across waymorethanacruise.com - Royal Caribbean and Universal have partnered up! Check it out! FH and I love it because we get to have the romantic week on the boat but then can have some fun before returning to reality! Plus transportation between the airport, docks, and park is all taken care of and if you pick one of the hotels on the resort you get all these extra perks!
