so i was speaking with one of my vendors the other day. i got married several months ago. and the vendor said to me, 'i saw all that stuff you posted about us on LIWeddings...' so i was taken aback about it, and was like 'Huh???' so he was just like 'it was very nice of you, just wanted to say thanks'. obviously this person knew it was me by what i wrote (probably from my avatar pic as well), but it made me very uncomfortable that he said it to me. am i overreacting???

This happened to us. Fh works in the business and a vendor of ours made the exact same comment. It is a little weird to know that the vendors are reading our posts, but is is an open chat room so I guess that it isn't that surprising.

When I walked into a photography appt. before I booked, the vendor was on LIW reading reviews...I saw b/c the screen was facing me as I walked in.
I wasn't offended but actually thought it was kind of cool he was interested in seeing what other people said about his services.
Most of us have been referred to certain vendors via this site and it doesn't bother me at all if they happen to read what I say.
It would def. bother me if a vendor called and tried to make a sales pitch based on what I had written though.

It was 12th Night...but I thought it was good that he was checking on 'his work'. I took it to mean that he was concerned what people thought...
