I have already taken what will be my last shot. Just wondering if anybody else has been on this and if there is any advice.

I was on it and it took me about a year to get my period back and on track and i'm still ttc and still nothing. They say that it take a year to get out of you system before you can get preggo. I'm still waiting. But everyone is differnt.

I agree with this for the most part. We're not ttc but I was on it for about 1 year and I would never take it again. It took 6 months for my period to come back in a semi-regular way and I was always regular before I was on it. It can take a long time to get pg after depo but some people have no problem getting pg. I've read too many things about the side effects and my own expereince would make me not recommend it to anyone.

I took the shot almost 6 yrs ago. For me I wouldnt take it again if they paid me. It gave me severe migraines, depression. I had irregular bleeding for a month (another doctor told me I might have been allergic to it). Once I decided I no longer wanted to take it. I didnt get my period for almost 2 years. I had to finally go to a doctor and she put me on the pill to start my period. I finally started a semi-regular period and concieved my son sometime after.
Everyone reacts to the hormones from BC's differently. It all depends on your body. It works for some and not others
