We were thinking about giving out personalized shot glasses but FH's side doesn't drink for the most part, so I wouldn't want to offend them. Should I give out shot glasses to friends and something more useful to the older crowd?

I think the photo frames is cute. I understand what you are saying regarding it being done often. But I think people can always use another frame. We are doing pepper mills. I think it is one of those things people never buy themselves.
I thought about doing my little chamagne bottles and a personalized book of matches but who will really miss the matches?

That is funny that you mentioned the matches. Because my FH is obsessed with having them and he wants them to read 'a perfect match!'
