Just trying to see if anyone has ever gone to a wedding reception at the Bourne Mansion?

It's called a 'scoreboard'.
I haven't been back to the Bourne in quite some time, but something tells me that it is still on the field. Afterall, it's St. John's property, not Lessing's. Lessing's only leases the mansion. They have the rights to cater. I don't believe they are the ones putting money into the location...that would be the University.

bethsiar, when was the last time you were there? I booked back in August and both columns were up. I wonder if they have done work since I've been there.
I guess I should walk through the facility again, huh!?!
I just hope they have the fountain running for the wedding!!!!

The columns are DEFINITELY THERE! Haha, from what I know, the fountain should be running if you are getting married in a warmer month. We are getting married in July, soI was told it would be on.

Jenny5150.... not sure when I was there, but I noticed they paved the brick driveway around the mansion, which is something I really liked. Oh well, at least it looks a hundred times better!
I think if I had to choose, my absolutely favorite part was when you drove into the gates and the long driveway-- at the end, the huge mansion, so pretty. (but no so impressive with out a collum! )

Ben told me the same thing...I am September too... expect that fountain to be flowing!!!! Is anybody having their ceremony there?

Also...word of advice. My photographer told me NOT to have the wedding cake in front of us. Ben has the cake placed right in front of the bride and groom. My photographer said that if people try and take pictures of you the cake is always in the way and nobody can see you. I am going to ask Ben to keep it on the side somehow so we are not blocked all evening.

FYI, the pic of the front of the Bourne Mansion that I posted is from May 31, I'm not sure if it's missing columns, it didn't look like it

I booked in January of this year and as far as I know the Columns have ALWAYS been there...i pretty sure I would have noticed a Column missing!!
