I feel it coming... Had huge fight with FH over weekend... stressed, so many things left, no funds and feel like running out of time.... like sitting at work i'll start to think of something i gotta do like i dunno: get my dress altered, make invitations, find a head piece, pick out cake, find rehearsal dinner place, order flowers for gazebo/arch for ceremony, make programs, buy stamps, get shoes dyed, the list goes on... anyhoo i start to tear up and feel nauseated....

Re: Has anyone been close to a for real 'breakdown'
There comes a time, when you're not at work, where you just have to let the emotions take over you. After that... start tackling your list one thing at a time... before you know it, you'll be done! I know it must sound easier said than done, but really, just one thing at a time..
Oh yeah, and booze helps too!

Rebecca - if you need help momma, I'm here!!! Anytime, anything - just call!!!!!!
If you just want moral support too - let me know!!!
Like Kim said - you need a good cry, let it out, it will make you feel better. cry yourself to sleep one night, let the sobs go through your whole body until your mentally and physically exhausted.
It will get better.

Re: Has anyone been close to a for real 'breakdown'
I'm sure this is normal. Sadly, mine isn't even wedding related. Last night I told FH I didn't even want to marry him.
Feel better, I'm sure it's just average wedding stress that every bride feels.

ITA! you HAVE to do this or you WILL break down at work, or in church, or in your car ( yes i have done all three )
have a glass of wine, break down and dont do anything wedding related
then the next day make a list and do ONE THING AT A TIME until you move on to your next task. . .
i am a mess - don't feel alone not EVERYONE is as put together and calm as they seem to be. . .some just hide it better than others! and it comes in cycles so you may be breaking down and only see happy brides around you or vice versa

I totally understand, i definately agree with previous posters, that there is a time where u just need to let it all out, when your alone, with a nice glass of wine,
I know your wedding is soon, and its a scary feeling that time is going by so freaking fast! Just try to tackle one thing at a time, and try to do the most important things first.

Re: Has anyone been close to a for real 'breakdown'
Yes, last year I definitely overworked myself. Between 4 graduate classes, working part-time, planning a wedding on a VERY tight budget, and the general life drama, I think I did have a breakdown. I was at work and felt nauseous, sweaty and weak all at the same time. My heart started to hurt and I couldn't breathe, I was gasping for air. I know it sounds traumatic but I was having a really bad panic attack. It was around the time of finals and I definitely just had too much on my plate. I've since then learned how to manage my time and tasks a little bit better. Cheer up, you're in control even if you don't feel you are.

OH YEAH! I know exactly what you'r going through! I've been having minor breakdowns every so often, with a couple of major ones in between!!!!! Most recently I freaked out over the amount of money all the little things we haven't even done yet are going to cost! I started working double what I was before! Keep your chin up! As FH says, we're only doing to do this once, so sit back, relax, have a beer, and try to enjoy it!

Re: Has anyone been close to a for real 'breakdown'
i did and it gave me the extra push to find a new job and leave my old one. I was way too stressed and I was also financially stressed too so i was just like this is ridiculous for me to have so much stress and not even be paid significantly for all my stress and hard work...so i left. we'll see how it goes!!! I just came to a point where I refused to bend over backwards if I'm not being compensated for it...and I will not let my relationship suffer any undue stress for a job thats not worth it...my phone was ALWAYS ringing...during dinner, during the hockeygame, during a nap, during SEX! I worked so hard and had nothing to show for it...no savings, debt, and then the wedding and the house. I broke down crying and finally told FH I was afraid he would marry me and resent it because I couldn't even pay off my debt. but he was so understanding and supportive and agreed to help however he can and not spend so frivolously on his end.

Re: Has anyone been close to a for real 'breakdown'
It is definitely overwhelming....how could you not have a breakdown once...or twice...or several times...I know I have, and I just started the planning! But, try to take a breather...have a good cry if you need to (like others have suggested) and prioritize that list of to-do's. Before you know it, you'll be able to enjoy the wedding you've spent so many months planning! *BIG HUG FOR YOU!* :

Re: Has anyone been close to a for real 'breakdown'
It's completely normal. Hang in there. Sometimes getting it all does really help! Good luck and remember: worrying about stuff that may happen is only borrowing trouble and I'm sure you have enough trouble already.
PS: That sounded much more eloquent in my head!
