We are starting to think about our honeymoon destination and Hawaii is one of our top picks. Has anyone been on a Hawaiian Cruise? FH and I love cruises, but we weren't sure that we would see enough of the islands if we chose to do the cruise instead of staying on the islands themselves. Any suggestions?

I never been to one...but my sister just came back from her honeymoon on the hawaiian cruise and she didn't like it...Luckily she booked a few days at maui and loved it...I'm not sure which cruise line she did, but i'll let you know when I find out.

I havent been a cruise but my BM went on her HM to hawaii and loved it. I think she went to Maui

ive been on a hawiian cruise with my family a few years ago over christmas. Its was AWSOME! You get to see ALL of the islands instead of just one which is nice but no, you prolly dont spend as much time on them if thats what you are looking for. However, i have been on quite a few cruises and trips and i like the atmosphere of the cruises a lot. We did one trip on each island, we all picked one that we would really like to do. we went hiking and snorkling and boat trips to see dolphins. It was one of the best trips ever. I just really like the way you can see the islands and then have soo much to do on the boat at night and with most hotels after dinner it gets quite.
now that i just rambled forever. lol.. i would say choose the cruise! and Hawaii is absolutly stunning. highly reccommended! HTH

I see your wedding is in June... you might be able to have a better selection of ships. The Hawaiian Cruise was our first choice for HM but then we found out there was only one cruiseline running in August and we didn't like it. So it seems that the summer is their off peak season. I noticed there's plenty of lines to choose from in March-April though. Just thought I'd make you aware of that.

Thanks! When I checked it out, there was only one ship that we could take in June (like you said). We're exploring other options now, in addition to that one. Maybe Europe Let's keep our fingers crossed that we find something great that wont totally break the bank!
