has anyone been on a princess cruise?

My fiance and I are thinking about going on a cruise this summer.

Our top choice is princess based on price, but we don't know anyone who has been on one.

Ladies?

I have.

honestly, I like Royal Carribean better.
Not that there was anything wrong with princess but i just felt they did everything they could to get as much money as possible and cared less about the service. I have been on a bunch of cruises and cant say i would do princess again. Maybe it was just the ship i was on but i thought there could have been more to offer compared to other cruises i have been on.

I wouldnt not reccomend it, i just prefer Royal Carribean.
hope that helps

I have- we did the Southampton to Rome cruise. Amazing food, movies under the stars was great, facilities- immaculate.

Lots of older travelers though...notmuch nightlife.

FH and I have been on 2 Princess Cruises and we loved both. The food is always good and there was always something to do. We thought the shows were really good and entertaining at night...like the comedy acts and stuff. Nice cruise for a honeymoon because it is more low-key than say Carnival.

I've been on a bunch of different cruise lines too and I have to say Princess is by far the best. Yes, the crowd is older, but I prefer it that way truthfully. Not as many little kids screaming and running around. The food is awesome as is the level of service. our next cruise will be with princess too.

I am a platinum cruiser on princess and it is my fav way to travel. The age of the cruisers really depends on where you are going I went 2 the caribean 3 times and that group was younger but mature. Meaning that there were younger group activities but not like daytona during spring break lol. Then I went to alaska once and that was a MUCH younger crowd. The food on board is always yummy and much better then any other cruises myself or my family members have been on. Also they have amazing ports of call and and excursions. On one of my caribean ships I was actually able to leave from the new pier in brooklyn which was soooo much easier and neat to sail in ny harbor past the statue of liberty and ellis island (sorry the history geek in me) Lastly the rooms are very nice and I have stayed in every type I believe. I have had a balcony room, a partial view with window and and inside with no window room. The crews are always awesome and willing to help you and and sooo funny. If you want let me know what route you are looking into and I will give you any info I have

Princess is good, But I enjoyed Celebrity better!! Their food is to die for!! The one I went on was a 21 and older cruise which was nice, so we didnt have kids running all over and the pools were easier to get into.

I haven't been on a Princess Cruise, but I think Carnival owns them now.

I cannot say enough about princess cruises. The food is amazing, service is wonderful. I've been on 3 Caribbean cruises with princess and one was better than the next.

I went on a Princess Cruise to Alaska with my parents in June 1995, so it was a long time ago!! I remember it being lovely!

I was on the crown princess ship, remember theres quite a few of them so experiences can differ based on which ship ppl went on.

We had the best time, service was AMAZING!!!! i never even had to get up and get a drink or wait for anything bc we constantly had ppl asking us if we needed anything. The manager in the dining hall was awesome, he would take our requests from the night before and make it for everybody we were with, risotto and so many other things, and would bring out tons of extra things for us. All the bartenders and staff remembered dh and i by name in the casino, well maybe bc we were there all day long lol, but they were awesome. Very friendly staff.

Food was so delicious, the crown princess when i went was only a few weeks old and we went the 2nd time it ever went out so was very clean and nice. Also loved movies under the stars. The excursions for crown princess are great too: Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos, St. Thomas, and Bermuda.

And there were actually ALOT of young ppl on the cruise, well ppl in their 20's like us. There were also lots of teenagers too and just overall alot of young ppl. There were about 4 or 5 pools and one pool area was taken over by all the young ppl on the ship, it was like spring break lol and they would play all those type of games you play at spring break and always dancing by the pool since there was a calypso band every day by that pool. But its good bc theres a few other pools so if you want peace and quiet you can just go to another one

ETA: the bonus was that the crown princess leaves out of Brooklyn which was great for us
