I am having mine there and I have a question. I absolutely LOVE it and don't doubt my decision at all, however the only thing that makes me nervous is the bathroom situation in the mansion.
If you've been to an event there could you tell me if anyone experienced problems with there being only 3 toilets? thanks!

Just a note about the food situation - when I went there they (a team of people) were cooking food there in a very large kitchen. I don't think they bring cooked food from another location.

Please let me know if you hear of any updates on the construction. I know they're adding some sound-proofing too, so hopefully that will be done before this summer too!

hmmm hadn't heard about the sound-proofing! That would be great if they do that... I hear the sound reverberates a lot in the ballroom, it was actually one of my worries with my band!

I'm also getting married there. When I went to look at it the bride that day had made both bathrooms by the entrance ladies rooms and had the men go to the bathroom in the back. I think that's what I'm going to do too.
OOO What a good idea!! I've never been there for an event but I used to valet there and their food is wonderful and I never heard a guest complain about anything during or after the reception! I wouldn't worry about it

I am hoping to book the Bourne very soon. I do not believe they cook the food off-premises, I think that is wrong information. Did you speak to Ben about this? Are you getting married at the mansion . I am a little concerned about the small room in which they do the ceramony. They are putting in new bathrooms. You can't have a regular bathroom in a big, beautiful mansion. It was a house.....Anyway, any information you have for me would be wonderful. I am very excited...Robyn

Been to the Bourne mansion lovely wedding. The only thing i would criticize is the bathroom situation. Ya see i didnt think the #'s of bathrooms were bad it was more that we all shared them, Guys and girls on the same line..kinda weird, but if they are remolding then you wont have a problem

They do cook off premises, Timberpoint country club makes the food and delivers it there

Just so everyone has the correct information: I spoke to Ben this morning....Food is prepared at Timberpoint, but cooked at Bourne....
