Has anyone been to Cactus Spa and Salon?

Hi everyone!

Have any of you been to Cactus Spa and Salon? (they have alot of locations throughout LI)

I just received a $50 gift certificate from my friend for graduating law school and was wondering what to spend on it (I have never been to a spa AND the website doesn't give a full list of what they do or prices...so I don't really want to call up and ask what's the best thing to get for that amount of $)

There are several of them. I go to the one in Syosset and I have always had a gret experieince with both hair cut, color and spa treatments.
I think you may be able to call and have them fax you a 'menu of services' and prices.

what kind of spa treatments have you gone there for? or would you recommend fo ra newbie! (I am ignorant when it comes to the spa!)

yes - they do a very nice job!! I got highlights there, back when I used to have highlights.

I HATED my experience with them in syosset. the colorist was immature and rude and started and finished her sister's hair while forgetting all about me...she started me and then moved on to her sister and forgot completely that i was there...even said so.

I probably won't go there for my hair, since I have a regular salon and hair dresser.

Can anyone recommend one of the spa treatments or manicure/pedicure?

I would say definately spa mani and spa pedi
Definately a full body massage but I would be sure to pick one that won't be too rough on your body, sometimes the massages actually hurt if they are trying to rub out stress or relax muscles
A facial would be nice but be careful, sometimes the lotions they use might irritate the skin depending on what type of skin you have
