We are thinking of moving to Delaware after we are married. Houses on LI are way too expensive along with everything else here. FH's friend's girlfriend lived there and said she liked it but we just wanted more than 1 persons opinion. We know we will have to make trips there to see what we like but we wanted to know if any parts are better than others or any other info you could give. Thanks!

I lived in DE for about 7 years. 4 of which I was in college for and about 3 afterward that I worked. I actually really loved DE. It is a much slower pace than here and close to so much. For example, it was not uncommon for me to go to Atlantic City, Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia on weekends. I don't even dare do that on LI. Too much traffic. There is no sales tax down there either. I lived in the Nothern Wilmington area after school and really like it. Newark is good too, but very young. I think you should check it out though.
psychobride-Why did you move to NY?? How was the job market down there? Is the pay scale alot lower?? Were the people nice?
